Responsibilities

Execute precision welding operations using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding on different metal types
Operate machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and CNC machines to fabricate metal components
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production outcomes
Perform quality control inspections and measurements to maintain product standards and tolerances
Maintain and perform routine maintenance on metalworking tools and equipment
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes
Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Document production activities and report any equipment issues or quality concerns

Completed apprenticeship or vocational training in metalworking, welding, or machining
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
Strong understanding of metallurgy principles and material properties
Valid welding certifications (AWS, EN, or equivalent standards preferred)
Ability to work with precision measuring tools and gauges
Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Experience with CNC programming and operation
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Familiarity with CAD software for technical drawing review
Multi-language capabilities for international project collaboration
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or heavy machinery industries
Leadership experience or willingness to mentor junior metalworkers

Welding Techniques: MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-core welding processes
Machining Operations: Manual and CNC lathe, milling, drilling, and grinding operations
Material Knowledge: Steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and exotic alloy properties
Measurement Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines
Safety Equipment: Proper use of PPE and understanding of workplace safety regulations
Quality Control: Statistical process control and inspection techniques
Equipment Maintenance: Preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting skills
