## Mission

To strategize and execute all regional projects for a product line within the defined timelines meeting quality and estimated costs. To aggregate and utilize with SW Delivery Team customer specific knowledge and create and ensure global alignment of software delivery policies and practices. Work on building relationships with each of our customers and work on aligning customer expectations with the realistic deliverables.

## Responsibilities

**Scope:**

Responsible for the leading the regional customer delivery organization for the product line to ensure delivery on time and with quality and within cost. Responsible to build relationships with the customers and influence the expectations to align with Visteon platform solutions. Represent SW development team to the customer; ensure the plan is defined with realistic expectations.

**Key Accountability:**

_Build relationship with Customer interfaces and understanding of expectations_

  * Engage and build relationship with key SW contacts of every customer.
  * Work with the customers to understand the pain points and expectations align internal teams towards addressing those effectively to improve the customer satisfaction.
  * Influence customer solutions towards Visteon’s platform solutions to gain the advantage. 
  * Negotiate and set the right expectations on timelines, cost and delivery keeping in view of internal constraints and feasibilities.



_Consistent project planning, tracking , execution and escalations across the regions and projects_

  * Adhere to standard way of project planning the deliverables and dependencies.
  * Adhere to a standard way of tracking progress and escalation mechanisms. 
  * Every program is executed with the standard guidelines defined.
  * Closely track on the dependencies and ensure it is available in time for the SW development.



_Cost consciousness and budgeting_

  * Defines budget and targets as part of project plan, optimising resources and cost to meet the targets set. Develops cost control measures to handle deviations, tracks project changes to estimate the impact on cost of the changes.
  * Works to ensure there is a global alignment among different projects in the establishment, deployment and improvement of practices, methods and tools. Forecasts and estimates to define the boundaries/ budgets for HR, tools and licenses, ensuring no cost overruns.



_Quality management for the project delivery_

  * Sets and tracks the progress on the quality targets. Drives to ensure all the quality steps in the project development are conducted.
  * Forecasts and monitors SW delivery maturity of each project and ensures right measures are applied in case of deviations. Develops procedures to reduce risk and minimize potential negative outcomes. Drives process improvements through Measurement & Analysis.



_Capability building for the software delivery team_

  * Works to ensure a high level of product and requirements knowledge for each member of the software customer delivery team. Ensures a high level of project management skills, excellent understanding of the customer specific requirements and good level of understanding of SW development team capabilities for the software delivery team members. 
  * Works to build the capabilities - maintaining skills and obtaining training for the Software delivery team. Works to ensure best practices and lessons learned are shared between different projects for the same customer. Supports deploying of best practices and lessons learned on a global level.

## Requirements

**Key Experience required:**

  * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred)

  * 5+ years of experience in SW project management

  * 10+ years of automotive software development or equivalent delivery experience

  * 5+ years of experience in managing teams as a lead engineer

  * Experience of managing distributed development teams in a global environment is preferred

  * Good knowledge of software development life cycle, agile methodologies

  * Knowledge of Project Management for execution of Automotive Software development Projects or equivalent experience is preferred 

  * Knowledge of programming languages: C, C++ and Real Time Operating Systems knowledge

  * Experienced in Agile / SCRUM team-leadership

  * Familiarity with the standard Design techniques using UML tools

  * Technical Competencies: embedded SW development

  * Customer engagement experience

  * Good business communication skill in both English and Japanese
